NEWPORT - After winning zero games last season, Nokomis football is now 3-1 midway through this season.

The Warriors took care of Medomak Valley beating the Panthers, 35-7.

As the Warriors continue to climb the standings in Class C North, they realize continued success will not come easy.

"I mean every weeks a challenge it's the grind of the season you get halfway through every week's a little bit longer and every game is a little bit tougher. Everybody's getting a little bit better so very game is going to be a challenge for this group," Nokomis head coach Jake Rogers said.
