Bangor Walmart shutdown for hours after bogus bomb threat

BANGOR - It's back to business as usual at the Bangor Walmart following a scare Wednesday morning.

Bangor police were called to the store around 7:30 a.m. after store security reported a potential bomb threat.

Someone had threatened to blow up a device in the parking lot.

Police closed the area and kept the public away until a dog trained to sniff for explosives could sweep the area.

The parking lot remained closed for about two hours until police determined there wasn't an actual threat.

Police are now trying to find the person responsible for the threat.
