Belfast airport looking to expand services

BELFAST - Some changes on the way for the Belfast Municipal Airport.

The Belfast City Council is looking into installing a fuel farm at the airport.

Many companies have told the city that having a fuel source at the airport would be beneficial. It could also help rent out some of the hangars, bringing in more revenue.

Mayor Walter Ash stated "Bigger companies that come to Belfast, they have their own private planes, that sort of thing, I'm not talking about becoming a full fledged airport like Bangor, but we're talking about fuel at the airport so we can service those planes and stuff."

A $5 million taxi-way is in the making as well.
